Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about audiovisual production in Benin and West Africa: corporate film, pricing, timelines, coverage areas and how we work.

What is a corporate film (or institutional film)?

A corporate film is a video that presents your organisation, its activities, values or a specific project. It informs, persuades and strengthens your image with clients, partners and teams. At OBA PROD Consulting, we craft tailor-made corporate films for institutions, NGOs and companies across Benin and West Africa.

Why invest in a corporate video?

Video is the most watched and most shared format. A well-made corporate video captures attention, explains your message clearly and builds trust, on your website, social media or television. It is a durable, reusable and measurable communication asset that elevates your brand far beyond text or a brochure.

How does an audiovisual production run, step by step?

A production follows five stages: scoping and quote, writing and location scouting, shooting on location, editing and post-production (graphics, colour grading, sound mix), then delivery of the files in the agreed formats. You approve the work at each key milestone, from concept to distribution.

How much does a corporate video cost in Benin?

Every project is quoted individually based on the format, duration, technical and human resources involved and the timeline. A short social clip does not carry the same budget as a full institutional film or a documentary. Our quote breaks down each item so the budget stays clear and under control.

How long does it take to produce a corporate film?

A short corporate film usually takes two to four weeks, from writing to delivery. A more ambitious project, such as a documentary or a series of programmes, can take several months. We set a precise schedule as soon as the quote is agreed and we keep to it.

Do you shoot outside Cotonou and Benin?

Yes. Based in Cotonou, we shoot across Benin (Porto-Novo, Abomey-Calavi, Parakou, Grand-Popo, Natitingou) and travel throughout West Africa: Lomé, Abidjan, Accra, Lagos, Ouagadougou, Dakar, Niamey or Bamako. Our crew is fully self-sufficient on location, including in demanding conditions.

Do you cover events (seminars, conferences, concerts)?

Yes. We provide multi-camera event coverage: seminars, conferences, launches, ceremonies and concerts. We deliver a dynamic edit, short clips for social media and, if needed, live streaming.

What do you offer beyond documentary?

Beyond documentary, which is our signature, we produce fiction, TV programmes and magazines, corporate films, commercials, reportage and short-form web content. We also support clients with communication consulting and content strategy.

How do you measure the effectiveness of a corporate video?

Effectiveness is measured against your goals: views and shares, completion rate, social engagement, press coverage, leads generated or brand awareness. We help you define these indicators upfront and tailor the formats to reach them.

Who owns the footage once the project is delivered?

Usage rights are defined in the production contract. From the quote stage, we specify the intended use (website, social media, television, archives) and the corresponding rights transfer, so you can distribute your content with confidence.
